Hot August Days in Murray
August has been one HOT month! It was so hot and dry all the leaves fell off the tree making it look like fall. Claire beat some of the heat by playing in her pool. And what a pool it is. She even has a slide.

They Made It!

The Big Move
Home in Flagstaff on moving day - a sad day for the Walkers.
We rented the biggest truck we could get and still didn't fit all of our things in it and ended up renting a second truck for J.J.'s trip out.
Claire was ready for the trip - little did she know it would be 3 days in this fun truck - with the cat!
Who is the navigator in this truck?
"Don't worry Dad, I'll get us there!"

Fourth of July
Fourth of July in Flagstaff was a hot one!! Our friends from Saurhita, AZ, the Thompsons, came up to visit and cool off from their heat. We went to another friends' unfinished house for a cookout breakfast and enjoyed pancakes, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit. The kids had a great time playing in the dirt!
Who needs water in a pool?
We then returned home and played in the sprinkler house Paul had built. It was very refreshing and the kids had a ball!

Claire needed some encouragement to run through the first few times.

Claire didn't like much water spraying, if any at all, when she ran through.
Mommy and Daddy even took advantage of the water to cool off!
And Rachel cheered everyone on!
Rowe just liked playing in the pool (one with water)
Even Spiderman got in on the action
At the end of the day there was some meditating to do.

Hurricane, UT
We took a few days to visit J.J.'s brother Rob and his family in Hurricane, Utah to relax, golf, swim and play.
Aaahh. What a way to start a vacation! - Paul and Rachel
HA! YOU'RE CAUGHT!! A glimpse into the future about 13 years from now. - Claire and Emilia
We went out on Rob and Cornelea's boat to Sandy Hollow reservoir to swim and ski and play.
You can't fall out of the boat if you can't move. - Isa

Watch out Paul that sun might touch you! - Paul and Rob
"I'm just a tad pole now, but I'll be swimming before you know it." - Isa

Don't worry, Claire will take care of your tracks in the sand trap.

We took a day trip on our way home to Flagstaff to Buckskin Gulch and Glen Canyon Dam with Rob, Cornelea, Nicolette, Emilia and Isabela. Was it ever hot!!

How can you get lost in here?
Nicolette the pioneer. She is an amazing hiker, never once complaining on the long hike in the heat.

We stopped at Glen Canyon Dam on our day trip and Claire, Millie, Cornelea and Nico looked precariously over the edge of Glen Canyon Dam.
It's a long way down. Luckily we didn't lose anyone.
