Soda Explosion

We were having a very intellectual conversation with the missionaries one evening when the topic of mixing Mentos mints and diet soda came up. So the next evening we decided to perform our own experiment and see if the rumors were true.

The missionaries came armed with packs of the Mentos and 2 liter bottles of diet soda. We provided the man power and chosen location for the top secret experiment. Bridget and Katey came to join us also for the excitement.

Everyone got to have their chance at making a soda volcano.

And to end the learning experience, Elder Gray brought his pet raccoon skin to visit. (I hate it when you have a raccoon stuck on your foot.)
And of course the girls couldn't end the day without swinging! (Poor Rachel slept through the festivities)

Yard Work

Paul got to work on the garden with the help of our neighbor Bob's tiller and of course his trusty partner Claire.Claire inspected the plot very carefully and helped remove rocks.
She decided just a little more work needed to be done and found a rake her size for the job.
Meanwhile, Rachel made an excellent supervisor in between games of peek-a-boo and swinging.
