All my girls continually amaze me with he things that come out of their mouth, but Rachel has had a few lately.
My mom and niece, Nicolette, were here visiting recently (I of course will post some more about this later - maybe next year sometime if I am on my usual schedule) and we had a great time! They got to spend a lot of time together while Paul and I were at work and one day while my mom was so graciously changing Rachel's diaper, she started singing "Rachel, Rachel, I declare, you have poopy underwear." To which Rachel replied, "You not deClaire, you Grammy!"
Today, she was stinky once again and asked me to change her diaper (obviously ready to potty train if she asks to have her diaper changed, but still won't cooperate). Anyway, I was changing a poopy diaper and she started saying "Yucky, yucky! We don't like poop." I got a little excited and was going to once again suggest that we can avoid this situation if she goes in the potty, when she then added "We don't eat it. We don't like to eat poop." I guess I've done an okay job teaching that concept - we'll just have to keep working on the potty thing.
She is a goofy one, but she is also a sweetie. She told Grammy and I both "I love you!" Which in itself melts my heart, but then she added, "I love your face!" How does a 2 year old know just what I need?!
