Murray Christmas Parade

Murray has a Christmas Parade every year at the beginning of December. It was chilly, but not too cold. It made me feel right at home with the tractors, horses, fire trucks, and police cars. If you want to commit any crimes in Murray, this is the day to do it because all the law enforcement are at the parade, with their sirens blaring I might add. Some kids think sirens are pretty cool, but when they are three feet away from you, they are just very loud and annoying. Claire had had enough - hence the plugged ears.

Rachel didn't quite know what to think.

"Just stop the sirens and throw the candy!" - Claire Walker

Our friend Shara Harper ("Shara Dara") and Claire waited patiently for the candy to be thrown.

Paul and Trevor Harper just stood back and waited for the candy to be collected.

Rachel is still too little for candy, so a thumb has to do.

The parade did have some pretty interesting things - Live camels....

the most enormous cow statue I have ever seen (it normally sits in front of the "Sirloin Stockade" restaurant).....

another beautiful view of the cow and I only wish I had been quick enough to get a picture of the baby Jesus strapped to the front of a car.

What a parade!
